Remounting front tire

/ Remounting front tire #41
That happened to me on the front tire on my TYM on Wednesday, I don't have the bead seater tool but was able to just air it back up with my air compressor! I know -- I got lucky for once!!
You could cheat and lift the tire off the ground with the loader, though.

I have roughly 4,000 lbs. on each tire on that Unimog, and it doesn't exactly help that it has the suspension lockout in the rear. Lifting it off the ground was much more work than reseating the beads.

Actually since I had my forks on at the time, I just used them to lift the front end up and tried with the air hose and it worked!! I was expecting to have a lot of trouble but for once -- didn't!

You need go get a couple of drinks! I saw you wrote loader in original post but but guess you meant compressor?
Originally I wrote compressor, then edited the post.

Look at where you quoted me in post #42, that's unedited. Maybe we both need a couple?

An accelerant and a spark. I've had a couple tires that I couldn't seal with any of the recommendations I've read so far. Try them all first. If they don't work then a flame does. It's actually common.
I use a propane torch for plumbing and add some propane into the tire. Then add a spark. The rapid burn if the propane will cause the tire to expand extremely quick and seat the bead. Just make sure the valve stem is removed to allow the air to vent. Try a small amount first as you may not need much.
There are some videos of this online. And Arctic treks use this trick as they have very large tires and no major tools to seat the bead. . Be prepared for a loud pop and maybe best to do it outdoors but out of the wind.

Not the safest and some may say it's not a great recommendation, but it s low cost, and if you can't get it into a shop, and it works.

I see now - I misunderstood - I apologize. I'm gonna go have a drink and get straightened out!
