Would someone post a picture of their remotes installed on a TC45 or similar NH tractor. I'm wanting to add two, maybe three and I'm curious to where they're located on the rear.
Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, I have photos of the single remote valve on my TC45D and the Maintenance Manual illustrations already scanned and ready to send to you because I already sent them to Dave Varberg. I'll be happy to post them, but it will be Saturday before I am in the location where they are. If someone else doesn't post before that, I'll post them.

Here is the single remote valve quick connects on my TC45 (just above and to the right of the toplink). The second set of remotes is mounted just below this set and the third is monted on the other side (left side) of the toplink assy. I'm also going ot attach the illustrations. Essentially, the remote valve assemblies just stack on top of each other as you can see in the illustrations.

I believe the first remote is about $350 (installed price) and the other two are about $150 each. You may be able to get a better deal ($500 to $600) if you get them all at the same time. Hope this helps.

Sorry if this is a dumb question (haven't used a tractor in about 10 years, and it was a 50's Ford 8N) but how do you determine how many rear remotes, what types of implements can be used and why would you need more than 1 or 2 or even up to 3.

Thanks.

MDNY, not a dumb question at all, and of course, to determine how many you need (if you need any at all), you first have to determine what implements you intend to use, both now and in the future. One will power a hydraulic top link, a second one could power a hydraulic side link (top 'n tilt) to make it quicker and easier to change angles on a rear blade or box blade. How about another to angle a rear blade to push or pull snow or dirt to the side. Do you need one for a hydraulic chute on a snow blower? How about a hydraulic post hole digger instead of a PTO powered one? How big a tractor and what are you going to use it for? The hay baler I've used, and the haybine, only needed one, but I know a guy who uses a haybine that needs 3; one to raise and lower, one to turn it (not PTO powered), and one to move it right or left. Well, that's a start. Maybe someone else can add some more uses.

Jeff,

I don't have a digital camera.... would you believe that I manage an I.S. department. Anyway, I have a TC45D with a full complement of rear remotes (3). They just stack on top of the 3-point valve, from left to right toward the right rear tire. Hope this helps.

Don't feel bad. A good buddy of mine is my plants IS manager and he doesn't even have a home PC. I appreciate the info.
