Remotes put on my L5030 and some ????

I finally had my remotes put on my L5030 as a few parts were backordered from Kubota. My question relates to me coming home and hooking up the Split-Fire 3pt wood splitter. Everything hooked together perfectly and I knew I would have to hold the control open and a bungy did that fine for now. I was splitting some 30" Maple chunks and I dropped the 3pt down to roll them on. When I went to pick up the 3pt nothing happened. I then pulled the remote valve back to neutral and the 3pt went up. Is that the way it is supposed to be? Basically when operating the remotes (engaged) I can't run the 3pt?? That doesn't sound right and it isn't a huge issue, just wondering if that is the way it is or not before I question the install as they are the mechanics, not me.

Yes that's normal. I haven't seen your tractor model up close - but your remotes are likely powered from an oil supply connection upstream of the 3-pt hitch. The remotes divert flow when the lever is pushed one way or the other, but when the remotes are centered the 3-pt hitch gets full flow and works normally. The remotes are really intended to control an implement, not feed another downstream control valve.

In your case, with the remote valve bungeed open, oil flows to the splitter valve, which has an open center that exhausts flow back to the tank. There's no pressure left to operate the 3-pt hitch.

At least that makes me feel better that it is normal. I had never used remotes up until this point with the 3pt as I never had a need to. Like I said no big deal, just wondering. Thanks
