Reminder of what can happen in a flash

To folks that are sqeamish this may not be for you, but IMO still should be seen by EVERY single driver out there on the roads. I am not posting this to be morbid. I believe if more folks were taught/shown what could happen {in a flash}the roads might be a safer place. We have had a lot of discussion about safety on and off the roads. Some folks feel they'll never have anything happen because they are "allways safe" or the old saying "that allways happens to someone else". Again I believe this video should be shown to every kid getting a lic. along with everyone else driving or even planning on being near a roadway. I don't feel this thread should be deleted it's intentions are for folks to step back and take a look at what can/does happen. I believe the folks that visit this forum are mature enough to relize the seriousness of safety and would want to help keep things safe. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand .......lives.

Looks all too real....yep, things happen fast. When I was a youngster, I frequented auto junkyards to get used replacement parts. There stacked as many as 10 high were crushed and crashed vehicles. Often I saw shoes, impressions of faces in the windshield, blood left behind by the prior occupants. Makes you think.... it was easy to see the remains of what used to be hundreds of thousands of dollars in new vehicles which had been the pride and joy of somebody at one time, now reduced to scrap value.

Made me think at a young age.

Only watched part of the video, that was enough. Stuff can happen so quickly even if you are paying attention and driving defensively.

When GM introduced the first 'production' airbags in the 1973 Chevy Impalas, it saved the bag covers from most of the crashes that took place with that fleet. You can see the driver's face in them" Makeup, hair, nose and teeth marks. I worked in the lab doing the analysis of these crashes.

The surprize finding was the number of people who sued the company because their face was scratched or their glasses were broken and/or teeth chipped or ear drums blown. Not to mention that they felt they would have been better off taking the steering wheel or windshield directly...

That is a very graphic and disturbing video. It is also very important for us to view it. Some people just can't comprehend how fast something bad can happen. It should be mandatory viewing for new drivers.

I lived a situation where 2 people died. A car lost control on a stormy snowy,icy road and came into my lane. Nothing I could of done for I was in a big rig and it just happened so fast. There is not a day that goes by that I don't relive it but I thank God that there was nothing I could of done to prevent this.
Bad enough to live with this without having to blame yourself for a lack of attention, speeding or whatever reason. Guys if watching this video can save one life than it's worth it. Makes us all think! Believe me it can happen to anyone.
