My Father bought ONE new. It was Tan. A semi hit him in the rear and the car was totalled.

I bought a used 57 210 late in 57 with the V8 (was a 6 cyl still available?). Crossed the states several times, Good car but by today's standards it would be a dog. Traded it for a 59 Volvo PV544.

My dad had one, 2 tone, hardtop. Great car, he sold it about 65. Wish he hadn't done that....

My Dad bought a brand new 1957 Chevy for my Mother...2 dr. small 8 cyl with Automatic....Silver...I drove it for a year until I got my car...Don't tell anyone and I'm sure the statute of limitations have run....but I won some races...small 8 was still fast...:thumbsup:

The parents of my high school girlfriend had a Chevy they used to let me and her use from time to time . We made some real memories at the Drive In, in that car .

Bird...those Mercs were really fine cars...no doubt about it....I sure wish I had one today...don't you ?
PS - If I'm wrong about the statue of limitations running....maybe we can do our time on the buddy system..:laughing:

That's a good looking Mercury, Ron. I got my '56 black & white Monclair convertible in late '57 and my Dad owned a service station.:laughing: That gold colored block & intake manifold with blue air filter housing and valve covers sure were pretty. Dad got annoyed at me for spending too much time cleaning and polishing my own car instead of customers'.:laughing:
