Reliable gray market Yanmar dealers in/near OH?

Hello... I am looking hard for a gray market Yanmar. There used to be a dealer near me (Little Miami Trading Company) but he is giving up selling tractors. Does anyone have suggestions for other reliable dealers in OH or nearby states?

Try Tullahoma tractor. They are a stocking dealer , not close, but the nearest I now of. Fredricks would be the next closest. What size are you looking for? My neighbor has a YM 1800 4x4 I sold him for sale. It is in very good shape.

Thanks. I discovered Tullahoma tractor yesterday and sent them an email. I may have found a good option here locally from an individual. He has a YM1700 with a 5' finish mower, a scraper blade and turf tires. He is asking $4800 but made it clear he is willing to negotiate. Leaving now to take a look!

Wayne does state on the web site that he can access tractors for a client, but will not be importing them himself. he is a good guy to deal with that is for sure.

Well, my search is over; I bought the YM1700 that I looked at this morning -- picture attached. I ended up paying $3900 for the tractor w/ 5' bush hog, 4' scraper and an extra set of tires.

That's a good looking setup. What are the other tires like? Someone recently (I don't remember who or where) was asking about the ag-size turf tires like you have. Those are pretty neat!

The turf tires say:

Firestone 8.3-24 on 7" rim R-3 Tubeless

The guy I bought it from said that he went down the road to a tire shop (Jamestown, OH) and they were able to order them for him with no problem.

The spare rear tires/rims are the normal lug-type ag tires.

Congrats on getting the tractor. I'm pretty sure that I pulled up next to you at a light today. I noticed the R1's on the trailer an thought it odd to haul them around with a tractor and finish mower. Makes more sense now. Did you get the finish mower as part of the deal, too. By the way, if you need parts or whatever I suggest that you give Wayne (LMTC) the opportunity if he can. I've dealt with him and he's as honest and top notch as you will find.

Hi Villengineer, What a coincidence! Actually, you saw the guy I bought it from who kindly delivered it to me up near Fairborn. Yes, the 5' finish mower was part of the deal as was a scraper blade. The weather wasn't great for going out and enjoying my new tractor, but it is spring time in Ohio. :thumbsup: I did manage to drive it a around between rain clouds.

I exchanged several emails with Wayne at LMTC because he has a couple Yanmars still on his lot; seems like a good guy. He won't be selling tractors after those are gone, just focusing on parts. It's too bad he's not closer; an hour is quite a haul.
