Cant decide
Hi guys and gals, was wondering the reliability of spur gear final drive. Im in the process of tryin to choose what one I want. I know I want A deere but cant decide what one. I posted earlier and was lookin at A 4610 but am also lookin at the 4410. This will be my first tractor although I worked on A dairy farm. Right now I have 6 acres but will possibly be
buying Another 58acres half of witch is woods. I only want to make this purchase once so durability is important. Your input is appreciated. Thanks Mike

I've had a 4600 now with over 1500 hard hours and it hasn't failed at all. I pretty much abuse the heck out of mine and have no gear or other related problems.

Coyboydoc you have a planatary final drive. Only the models up to the 4400/10 have spur gears and the 790. 990 4500/10 -4700/10 have planatery.

Yes I knew that. I was only commenting about the 4600 as he was asking about a 4610.
