Regular cab pickup seat comfort

Many years ago when looking at regular cab trucks I found that I could not get the seat back far enough for comfort - mainly I like to lean the seatback back somewhat - I don't like to feel I am sitting straight up in a dining room chair. I am only 5'9", not a big buy at all.

My F-I-L 's mother in law is selling her late husband's 2008 Chevy Silverado regular cab with only 14,500 miles on it for $10K. Seems like a great deal to me - she lives in Missouri 7 hours from here so I'd have to pick up the truck during a visit.

Those of you with regular cabs - what do you think about the seat comfort compared to the extended cab truck?

I have only owned extended cab trucks for the last 15 years or so.

I have a regular cab 2007 Silverado. Split "bench" seat. My truck is the stripped 1500 Work Special. The driver and passenger seat backs each recline a decent amount.

The seats are the most comfortable I've ever had in a truck. (I'm 6' 6" tall and until a recent diet weighed 275 lbs.). I regularly drive 4 or more hours at a time picking up small equipment with the Silverado. I think you're going to really like the truck. At the price of new rigs I'd jump on that one.

(One more thing. I also own a Ford F150 regular cab. The Ford has the most leg room of any truck I've owned.)

By the way, I love the look of a regular cab. In my book they are REAL trucks. Its all I'll own.

I feel your pain. I have had many reg cab trucks. I'm 6-2" and I have found the Fords tend to have the most room. The GM feels ok for about a hour, but after that I tend to want more room.
