John Deere B
Hey everybody! Just joined up. I have an old John Deere B, sn 199432, owned it for about 30 yrs or more. Removed the 6 v. gen. and installed a 12 alt. and battery, makes it crank over a lot better. (kept all the 6v. stuff) Made a 3 pt. hitch for it, use it for bush-hogging, working the garden, and pushing snow in the winter. Just get kick out of running it around the neighborhood. It's not all painted up like new so I don't mind if it gets a little dirty. It's not a show piece. Nice to a part of the family.

We ran johnny poppers as a kid. An A,B,G and 40 (new version of the MT) Love those johnnys. We used the A,B, and 40 for mowing with a 7ft sickle bar w/ 2 point hitch. I believed the sickle mower was a #5?. The G was used w a Dual loader and had a grapple head and bucket. What a pain to pound out the four pins and then realign them by yourself. The curl cylinders would not extend at the same rate when nothing was attached to them:confused2:
