Regional dialect quiz

I took the test....I was born in Louisville, KY but only stayed there until I was 2 yrs. I was raised in Georgia and have lived here since...but yet the results said .....Louisville , Ky and Little Rock, Ark....go figure..

I traveled extensively for many years....so I have this theory about this test, I think for those who have remained in a specific area..the tests will be accurate but for those who have traveled extensively for long periods of time away from their home base the test will reflect a modified result...but what do I know...just a theory..

Probably onto something with this. Another thing that may influence outcome is who you live/spend a lot of time with, resulting in a mixed dialect. I'm originally from Indiana, but live in Ohio. Nothing against Buckeyes, but I still claim to be a Hoosier. It was kind of a bummer to be pegged as Toledo or Dayton, all because of 'pop' and 'gym shoes'

sort of an easy thing to do by identifying the ISP with our IP address....

It didn't identify me through my ISP....Says I'm from either Boston, Yonkers or New York. I was born in Toronto, Ontario and now I live 175 miles north of Toronto.

Right state of birth and growing up, but missed by about 200 miles, I'm fom South Mills, NC and thy had m in Greensboro, Winston Salem. Of course I spent a year in SE Asia and a couple in Central CA, and I've been on the Easten Shore of Maryland, which is similar to rural NC for 40 years.

Not exactly... SF Bay Area born and raised with decades living in East Oakland California.

Still remember going to the A's games... get your soda... ice cold soda!

Growing up in a house of runners... tennis shoes some became running shoes.

I tried the survey and never would give me the results... it always reset to the first question.

High School was like a model United Nations... talk about being diverse... one thing is everyone really did get along... even the teachers commented on it at graduation...
