I am wondering how much of a problem Kioti is having with the 2375 valve assembly. Mine was replaced in the first week because it leaked to the ground in about 30 minutes. The new one seemed to work better for a couple of months (6-8 hours) but now leaks to the gound in 60-75 minutes.
I was told it is about an $1800 valve. Not sure if that would include labor. I hope it I never have to replace one after the warranty runs out. From what I read there seems to be several who may be having the same problem.

Mine seemed to leak not as bad as yours, but it would probably drop 1 to 2 feet in 3 to 4 hours. I would notice the most when I went to go use it after a few days, it would be down quite a bit. I have to swing it 90 degrees to be able to fit it all the way in my shed, so after a few days it would be resting against the side of my shed. Now I've been able to kind of catch it on the outrigger. Who knows, I'm probably screwing something up with the outrigger now. Hopefully I'll have time to contract the dealer and see what they say. I'm under warranty until late October or early November so hopefully if it really goes it goes before then.

Are you guys sure this 3-4 hour/1-2 foot leak down is abnormal for a backhoe? Seems to me it would not interfer with function at all and that the only concern would be if it seemed to be getting worse. I've only owned one backhoe so am just curious as to what "normal" is.

I'm not sure about a small backhoe, but I know most of your larger backhoe's have a boom lock. From what I understand this prevents the boom from leaking down. I would imagine it also helps with wear on the boom cylinder. I have never seen any backhoe not leak down. Case, NH, JD, JCB all of them that I have used leakdown.

My Rhino backhoe has always leaked off about the same amount.
Normal for a backhoe as far as I'm concerned.
Works good when I'm using it and thats what matters (at least to me).

Jim
I had sent you a PM about the invoice, not sure if you got it.
As far as the price for the control valve assy it lists for $1911.00. As you all know nobody pays list.

Here we typically charge slightly more than our cost on parts that expensive.

Kioti didn't pay the dealer 1747.20 either, it was probably much less.

Also just a note for the future. There are 3 possible valve bodies for the KB2375 & K2376 backhoes.

Dinoil #BC03-0000-P Hose Kit BR02-0100
Hanil #BCR04-0000-P

(shhh~use the Hanil)

check the picture attached as to where to check for a possible leak, occasionally the teflon washer and o-ring don't seat right.

I've read many posts that stated the members' backhoes leaked down some over time. Mine will drop the stabilizers more than the boom, with only a small amount on the boom over night. The staiblizers will come about half way down in a half day.
When I have the BH on, I park with the stabilizers locked and the bucket on the ground, so it doesn't matter.
When I'm using it, I occasionally have to run the stabilizers back up to get through a tight space, but it's never really a problem and seems to be pretty normal.
Now if it happend a lot faster, I would begin to worry. If the fluid is not leaking and the leak down is not really a bother, I don't think there would be any problem.

I have a Kioti 2385 backhoe (have had for about 2 years now) and the boom has always leaked off. If I don't put the boom lock pin in, then it will leak to the ground in probably about 20-30 minutes. I did not find this odd as the old John Deere backhoe I had did this (quicker than that, actually), and the two rental backhoes that I have used in the past (A John Deere 310 and Kubota L39) also leaked down rather quickly. I just thought (mistakenly, perhaps?) that that is just how they are. As mentioned, the Kioti has a boom lock, the old JD used a chain to lock it up (OEM, not my invention) and the JD 310 had a boom lock (I can't remember about the Kubota - it has been several years and I only used it for a day).

Anyway, the backhoe functions perfectly while I'm using it, adn the boom lock pin eliminates leak down when I'm not, so unless the valve completely fails, I hope to never have to replace it.

Good luck to everyone with their equipment.

Hi,
As Becky has mentioned, there are 3 valves in use by Kioti. No one of the suppliers could supply kKioti with the numbers that they required.
All three valves are able to be repaired with a only a few seals, as she has also mentioned. It is unusual that the valve would need replacing because the only thing you can't fix is the machining. During warranty Kioti will sometimes just switch out the part because they can save on labor.
Besides the 2 seals mentioned by Becky I have found that when driving around without the BOOM PIN in place the seal in the Boom cylinder can be folded over from bouncing and will allow oil by the seal causing it to leak down. This also has a repair kit available.
It is a pain, but it is also very important to eliminate the bouncing weight on this system by resting the boom onto the PIN at the base of the BOOM.
Any backhoes I have ever worked on have some leak down when not locked. As long as it does not effect performance you should be OK.
