Well , i am finally happy now. Thanks to Kenny for some good ideas. but i had to do mine alittle different. i hated the foward lights on the turn signals. thay blind you. So i moved them to under the roll bar. i did not want them on top for fear of branches breaking them. But i mounted them. without the hoe on. that was a mistake. fold the ropes and thay hit the hoe....:( Had to modify a bit. but i like it better now. I took a 2 inch peace of band iron. and made me some extentions...:) Thay look cool and allowed me to space the lights ferther apart. and move them off the bar enough to clear the hoe. I was going to weld them instead of bolting. but by bolting. it allowed me more flexibility to move the lights in or out. i ran the wires through the rops in a peace of 5/16 rubber gas line. so folding the ropes , would not pinch the wires. worked great. Man this is the ticket. I can light the world...:D you can see everything 180 degrees for 50 yards.
no more blinding. works even better than when i just had them bolted to the bar. now because of the extentions. there right over your head. and dont shine in the insterment cluster. like thay did bolted strate to the bar. i also moved my rear lights for the bottom. to the top of the turn signals . this was the way to go. the backhoe seat is much higher than the driver seat. and you sit right inside the roll bar. so you dont even see the lights. but thay give off a ton of light. aiming down if you were digging with the hoe and it got dark. you could see in the ditch to finsh. I am really happy with this setup . I can light up the world in front or back...;) JD should have made this standard and not bolt the front lights to the blinkers so you would get blinded , if you turned your head. Now you just have light. and alot of it. :D I recommend
this highly. to anyone who wants good lighting at night. even with the bucket raised over the headlights. you can see just as good. better really. cause these are flood lights. not driveing lights.
as always here are the pics of the finished setup. see how the lights just clear the hoe when the ropes are folded. I went out and drove around at midnight last night. I am tickeled with how good it works....:)

Thanks , ;) It was filthy just the other day. I just keep it this way. I never let it stay dirty. I guess that just comes from nearly 30 years of building show cars and race cars. when i am done useing it. I got to clean it up.
thats why i put the hoe back on. Sunday i got to go plant some 10 foot red maple trees....:)

Gee Chris that loks so good. I gotta get some auxillary lights! I have been talking about them for a long time and just have not gotten off the dime yet!

Well done. Looks like a factory option.

I added extra lights to the ROPS and a rear light not long after getting my tractor.

Didn't want to drill holes in the ROPS. So, I used nylon strap ties and black electrical hose to run the lights on the rear side of the ROPS.

Have to pay very close attention to low hanging branches and brush but it makes all the difference when plowing snow and working at night.

Could not imagine owning a tractor without the additional lighting!

Very nice Job - I forgot that if you had lights on the rops, it would hit the backhoe console. If I didnt see your picture, I would have found out the hard way :)

Nice work - again :)

Looks like a great move. I have to move mine also. They blind you and all the bugs end up all over you in the summer. Will work on this project soon.
