Red mystery cap

Hi all, first post so be gentle...:laughing:

I just purchased a new to me 2009 Kioti CK30 HST so am in the process of changing all fluids,etc.

Yesterday I changed the engine oil,filter and fuel filter,all went well but noticed a red cap about 1.5" in diameter on the right side of engine (from seated) popped it of and notice some oil in it. After draining the engine oil |I noticed this oil level was still the same?? Is this possibly injection pump lube of some kind?? if so ,what oil is in it? and how full should it be??

Also, owners manual says 10w-30 or 40 but after going to the Daedong web site it says 15w-40??? I did end up putting in 15w-40 Rotella T...for now.

That orange rubber plug should have been painted grey. It is the lube for your injection pump. As far as I know it is connected to the engine oil somehow and needs no maintenance. I removed it once and also saw some black engine oil in the bottom.

1010 hours on my CK30 without adding any oil to that hole. I sure hope I wasn't missing something.

Thanks for the reply HB,looked in my owners manual but is has nothing about the mystery cap...

How much oil is in yours? I can see oil but definately not over full..
