I have a 2023 Branson 4820R that had a red light come on yesterday that said Oil with a thermometer next to it. Cannot find it in the manual or anywhere on it. Anybody know what this is ?

Are you sure it wasn't a coolant light? Indicating that the he engine may be overheating?

What type of work were you doing when that happened?

Coolant temp was halfway in the gage. Was brush hogging. Definitely said oil with a thermometer beside it.
When you turn key on this light does not come on. It is to the left of the regen light

After cleaning my glasses I checked the alarm again, and it shows it is the cooling water overheat. The engine temperature gage was sitting at mid gage, upon checking the radiator I noticed that the screen over the radiator was clogged with dust and pollen from the ragweed I was cutting, I cleaned it off and the alarm went away. The first time this happened I had a audible alarm, this time I only had the light. Thanks for the information you sent, This was not in any of my paperwork or manual that I had received from the manufacturer when I purchased the tractor.

You can download the operators manual directly from the TYM World website. Make sure you choose the North American market. They also have the parts catalog in there.

Special attention is needed when mowing brush. Some types of brush will clog a radiator within 3 or 4 passes. It's very easy to damage an engine really fast. Make sure you blow the radiator as well, not just the screen. Those battery powered leaf blowers are very good in this application.

I have a radiator genie, but often my battery leaf blower is enough to clear the radiator and the screen at the same time. When we paid a guy to shred the property, in our first year here, he would blow out his radiator every few passes on his Kubota.

It is definitely easier to keep the radiator clean with frequent use of a small leaf blower. I blow out the radiators on my zero turns at the end of each day, sometimes more in the fall when I'm mulching leaves. I don't cut tall stuff much with the tractor, so I rarely have to clean out the radiator.
