Can anyone provide some feedback on the better ZTRs out on the market? I've looked at the Toro, the Kubota, and have some lit on the JD models, but would appreciate any feedback. I'll be maintaining about 3-7 acres of my property: 3 at a minimum, and more if I want to turn some field into lawn. A neighborhood youth has been mowing my lawen with a Woods "Mow'n Machine", and it has been nothing but one mechanical headache after another for him (and me, as a result).

In particular, I'm interested in amount of transmission maintenance that tends to be needed on these ZTRS; shaft vs. belt drive mowers; quality of cut, etc.

Thanks in advance.

I know what my choice would be, ZD21 with 60in. deck. they're shaft drive, hydraulic lift on deck, use less fuel than gas, have built in lift to let you service underside of deck. All business machine, I see a lot of lawn services using them.
