+recommended minimum temp to operate oil lube air compressor

With the oil that came in my CH compressor, anything below 32dF and it would pop the breaker on start up. I replaced the oil with a 5-30 synthetic and I have run it with no issues at 15dF. Below that... I won't be in the unheated garage.

Or a synthetic air compressor oil.
I start mine at some quite cold temperature, it has run at zero F before.

ok good, as i mentioned, i use recommended syn oii. forget whether 10-30 or 30w Mobil 1. as Spyderlk mentioned, prob could also be frozen moisture in system.
guess i'll stick with pre heating pump head when ambient temp is below freezing
