I bought my 4410 with a block heater from the dealer. I've had to replace it once and bought again from the dealer. Now I would shop around a bit more.

The present 4410 block heater is in a hole in the block behind the starter. You need to remove the starter for access. I've also had good luck with magnetic heaters that you just stick to the oil pan and remove once the engine is running. Another option is to use a heating pad that sticks to the oil pan. That's all that a diesel engine in an older VW uses and they also work quite well. I buy mine on Amazon.

Also a tarp over the hood of the tractor to keep the wind out works wonders for heating a block faster.

This is the easiest way to install a engine heater.

Tarp and a 1500 watt electric fan heater work well.

The lower rad hose heaters are easy to instal and also work well. That would be my choice.

Had a Montana that I put two different frost plug in and neither worked properly. Installed glue on oil pan heater and battery warming blanked. Wired them together on one cord with a timer for two hour cycle. That was 10 years ago. Present owner still uses that setup and it never fails to start even at -20. Warm synthetic oil and a warm battery really spins it over.

My preference is block heaters that mount in a freeze plug in the block. I've installed them in my last 3 tractors without issue, and they work well.
On the rare occasion we get very cold temps, I have also used 500 watts of magnetic heaters on my transmission case.

The 4300 is equipped with an intake air heater system. See page 22 of Operator's manual.

Activate the system by pushing in on the key switch.

above 0F: hold key in for 10-15 seconds.
0F to -10F: hold key in for 30 seconds.
below -10F: hold key in for 45 seconds.

Start engine. If it runs rough, activate the system by pushing in the key switch until engine runs smoothly.

That still dosnt mean it's going to start...at least before the battery dies.

That's true, there's no guarantee it will start. The battery condition is an important factor.
