Congratulations on your new camera. Since you have purchased a 10x zoom camera without image stablization, you might really appreciate a tripod for shooting at the extended zoom range in anything other than bright outdoor circumstances. It needn't be anything fancy or heavy. These cameras are so light, most any will do. If the idea of a bulky tripod doesn't appeal, even a "tabletop" tripod will make it much easier to get those shots, it can be set on the hood of your vehicle or tractor, or even a tall rock. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
