Hello all!

My boss at work (nursery/garden supply center) has asked me to sell the company tractor with it's attachments, and I was hoping to get some suggestions on pricing.
We're just south of Madison, WI.

Tractor and attachments:

1998 Ford New Holland 2120
387 hours
Perfect condition with no rust or maintenance issues
4WD
43hp 4cyl diesel with engine block heater
12 speed HSS transmission, with three ranges

7109 loader with 72in bucket, and adjustable forklift
3pt hitch Counterweight
3pt 60in cultivator-moderate rust
3pt 10gal broadcast spreader
3pt 60in finishing mower-moderate rust

All attachments work and are in perfect condition except as noted.

I would be happy to clarify or elaborate on anything.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks RickB, I just updated my post to include the location.

I've checked around and most comparable used NH 2120s in the area (Madison, WI) have far more hours, however I've seen between 16k to 20k. Does that sound right?

Depends if you want to sell it or just advertise it. I don't usually advise on pricing issues because there are so many variables. Like you being 900 miles away in a completely different market. But I think you are well above the money for MY area, and stuff is more expensive here than in many other parts of the country. It's a lot easier for buyers to finance a new tractor than cough up a $20,000 check for a used one. Finance rates on used equipment are high, so there is little incentive for a buyer to finance used and pay gobs of interest when he can finance new for peanuts. And right now, very, very few folks are buying. Good luck

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind.
I'm trying to convince the owner to hang on to it for now, cause it's a great tractor and I hate to see it go; and if he's really set on selling, wait till the market picks up.

Thanks again!

Would your boss be willing to sell the tractor and implements separately? I'd think pricing each item individually would be helpful. Very few people would have a need for the exact same implements, but several people might want different ones if priced individually. It also would make the tractor look like a better deal. In this case, I think the package pricing looks way too high for a used tractor buyer.
