Man is this thing heavy. Seems like a fairly serious loss in lift capacity. 86lbs !!

Why is the bolt hole on the toothbar slotted? Is this to allow folding the toothbar up without completely removing it?

The 9 tooth coulnt it pretty nice.

The build is a little sloppy, many teeth crooked.

As for the weight you have to remember what you are going to put that thing thru! I put mine thru HE!! so far and its holding up quite well, its an off brand but built pretty darn well.

As for the crooked teeth, mine only has (6) teeth and they are as straight as an arrow, but its all in the quality control of the manufacturing process.

As for the slotted holes, I don't know what size yours are but my holes accepted a 1 1/4" bolt, quite big but it holds tight. The holes in the mounts are slotted on mine too, and I think that's basically in case you don't drill the holes in the bucket exactly in position and gives you some lea-way.

I will tell you that mine works excellent and you will notice a big difference in the digging ability of the FEL, night and day. With the way mine is designed, I can back drag all day and the thing never moves from the bucket, some I've seen I would be rather hesitant to back drag with them at all as they would want to flip up on the bucket.

Anyways, good luck with the new toy and go out and dig something up!

Nine teeth on a BX Bucket? Does not sound right.

I find it hard to beleive Markham would let anything like that out the door. Give them a call and I am sure they will make it right.

I asked for 9 teeth. I wanted it for raking back as much for digging. I read several threads here on it, some folks love it.

The oval holes are for flipping the bar in to bucket to use the straight edge with out the bar.

mine is diferent brand

I learn't this after the dealer told me to drill mine in the back so if the edge wears it will stil fit. so i have to un bolt it every time i want to take it off.

I'll weld up the holes and drill new ones at some point tward the front.

That's what I suspected, thanks for the confirmation.
