rebuilding cylinders

i found someone to rebuild my 2 dump cylinders ,,on a massy ferguson 1540 ...the loader is a 1530 model...he will come on site and rebuild both cylinders parts and labor for $ 250.00..does that sound reasonable ? thanks for the help bruce

YUP! that is darn cheap, for two cylinders. I charge for those size cylinders 400 each.

Wow, for those cylinders, I charge $65 + the packing kit cost. If someone brings me the machine, no extra labor to remove them. Believe it or not, some people still call me a crook.

That's a good price as well, I also think the $125 price is good for on-sight service.

But:

This is robbery! $400 EACH to REBUILD a cylinder? You can buy new ones for that...

does anyone have a picture of the way the seals go on ,,i just want to make sure i put it together right this time.. i could have put it together wrong the last time... i am going to do this tomarrow . I HOPE..... thanks for any help or advice...bruce
