I'm refurbishing a TYE 14 ft drill and am having trouble locating the plastic fertilizer registers or what ever you want to call them.
I know AGCO bought out tye years ago and still manufactures some of the line under another name
the drill I have has the seeder the fertilizer box and a legume box.
Things like the Coulter disk and the spreader disk or the pressing wheels are easy to find'
I've located the seeder meters on ebay nd I am sure someone has the brush type registers if I knew the correct name for them

today I stopped by a local Equipment dealer . Together we managed to locate the correct parts listing online at AGCO
the seeder assembly # is 540-537

Frank, can I assume that the plastic fertilizer meter box is the white one in the 2nd picture? If so, it is what Tye used on the small cover-cropper drill for grain. I just reconditioned one and had to order a couple of those. Here is a link to the cover-cropper diagram:

I am in California and checked with some Agco dealers that could order. I ended up getting my parts from Hahn Tractor Co. in Stockton.

Tractor Tech the link you provided comes up as a syntax error.
I found out that Tye used those meter assemblies on several models and are still using them on some of the sunflower drills the ones I have are the 9 lobe
many of the others units use the 4 or 5 lobe rings

Here in Argentina we have a dispenser with the same characteristics. If you are interested we can quote you.

Now that I have it broken down the process of removing the old paint is at hand.
I was hoping to only sand or use a wire brush on a grinder to remove only the dead surface of the paint , but after starting this I am quickly trying to talk myself into getting a sand blaster

I have most of the non repairable parts ordered and they should be arriving next week sometime

Well one thing is for sure even an ell-cheapo sand blaster does a good job on this machine because the factory didn't remove the mill scale or prime it before painting.

I thought it was time to update this thread
As it turned out the 14' TYE no-till drill proved to be a most interesting rebuild.
from the missing parts the bent shafts, rusted bearings broken springs, and the rusted out boxes.
All in all, not one single damaged, missing or failed part would have been much of a challenge in itself, but when all were factored together then add in the bad weather days, AGCO sending updated items without notice or explanations. The rebuild became a love hate labor intensive ordeal. One that makes me almost wish there were 3 or 4 more just like it to do.

Were you able to find any aftermarket parts or did you have to get the all from Agco?
