rear wiper park position

Just got a new to me grand L 4740 cab and the rear wiper park position is vertical meaning when you spray the washer fluid the wiper wipes it up then parks in the vertical position and the washer fluid that got wiped up to the top dribbles down and messes up the window.

Is there any way to change it so that it parks horizontally at the top instead of vertically on the side.

I have the same tractor model and my rear wiper parks near vertical on right hand side (WRT seated position). Mine is at about the 5:30 position and I'm not aware of any way to clock the park position.

Perhaps if you take the motor apart you can modify the park circuit for the desired position.

FYI... Several months ago I upgaded to corner defrost glass. Very happy with the results this winter and it was an easy swap to do so. Simply replace the glass and hook up the wires that are already inplace. Simple plug and play.

is it as simple as inverting the polarity of the wires so that the motor runs the other way because if i remove the arm and put it horizontally the arm would still swipe up and go off the glass instead of swiping down.

Find the wiper motor manual online from the part number. Some motors have a park position signal.

I couldn't find any manuals online. I may have to disassemble it and see if there is a way to invert the direction of travel and the park position
