yanmar 147D, John Deere 755, 1990
I just bought a John Deere 755, can I adjust the rear wheels on this unit? At the moment with turf tires it is at 54" width and I would like it to be more at 48" so the snow blower clears the track of the tractor.

you may be able to mount the wheels inside out, if they'll clear the tractor, else, you may have to put tires that are 6" narrower on it.. that will make the width 48"..

Do you have the Operator's Manual for your tractor? If so, it should list if your wheels can be mounted in a narrow position and if so what the difference would be. A 6-inch difference would be a lot. On the newer 2-series tractors swapping the wheels to the narrow position only gains about 3-inches.

I suggested 3" each wheel, which is 6" total.. 54"-6"=48".
