Rear weights

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the 52# starter weight and 110# standard weight that would be used ona JD 3x20 series with R4 tires? I have also noticed pictures people have posted showing a flat sided standard weight but JD parts shows a slightly domed weight with notches on the edge. Which one is right?

The 55lb (25kg) weight is for the R-4 tires, regardless of large or small R-4. The flat weight is the correct one and the one depicted on their JD 3x20 operational videos, mostly with 2 weights installed per side.

The domed 110lb weight is intended only for the R-1 Ag rims/tire combinations with removable center disk. These rims are much larger in diameter than the R-4's.

JD parts will show all available parts for the section in question (wheel weights) but not all are correct for every application. Even the hardware is labeled for use with specific weights only (110, 55, starter, addon). The parts section is intended for folks looking for replacement parts and thereby presumes you know what you require.

If you have R-4 tires, the 25kg (works out to 55.15lb) weights ARE the correct ones. The 110lb ones simply won't work as their diameter is way too large for you.

Radman. if you do a search for NYBOB post of "Wheel weights for 3720" you will find some pic I posted of the weights on my 3520 and also some pics Superduper's weights on his tractor. It will help you see what you need. Superduper is 100% correct about the scalloped shaped weights............they will not fit the R-4 wheels.

Thanks for the heads up. You guys know more than me or my dealer. I don't think they have sold any of the rear weight kits for the smaller rims. they are mostly ag tractor dealers.
