I've looked at a lot of posts about rear remote hydraulics but haven't found what I need. I've got an L3200 with a FEL. I see a need for a single rear remote but want a second in case I need it in the future. I'm thinking a "Float" on one of them. Does anyone have pictures? Detailed instruction on where to tap the existing hydraulics? A parts list would be very helpful, also. What type of valve or spool? I've been working with hydraulics on tractors for 50 years but never installed any and don't really know the terminology related to valves, spools, etc. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hydraulics are a mystery to me, if they don't show up check with JJ or MtnViewRanch, both very knowledgeable.

I'll let JJ go into detail for after market. There are threads on TBN going into detail. I normally recommend OEM because they are usually a cleaner install. But apparently some of the std Ls are not quite as good as they should be IMO. I know that you can do a complete 3 spool with 2 float function setup for about 60% of what it would cost to do a 2 spool OEM setup.

I need to get back to work, :( I will check back later. ;)

Here is your hyd data.

Hydraulics:
Type: open center
Capacity: 7.3 gal [27.6 L] (gear)
6.2 gal [23.5 L] (hydro)
Pump flow: 6.5 gpm [24.6 lpm]
Total flow: 10.5 gpm [39.7 lpm]
Steering flow: 4.0 gpm [15.1 lpm]

Here is a suitable two spool valve with float.

Surplus Center - 2 SPOOL 8 GPM PRINCE MB21GB5C1 DA VALVE W/FLOAT

PB kit.

You need to find the pressure line that feeds the 3pt, and add the two spool valve in series with that line.

The feed line will go to the IN port of the new valve.

The PB adapter must be used in the PB port and that output will feed the 3pt.

The OUT port of the valve will go to a tank line.

Below is a pic of the hyd block for the L3200 hyd block.

Line 010 is the supply line you need to cut and install swage fittings and connect to the IN port of the new two spool valve.

Line 170 is the return line you need to cut and install swage fittings and install a tee for the OUT line from the two spool valve.

Line 070 from pump will feed the hyd block.

PB port connects to the cut line 010 to the 3pt.

The series path is now complete.

The tractor relief is on the bottom of the hyd block and this will set the tractor pressure.

Re-check the master relief valve for correct pressure and set the new valve the same.

I discarded wrong picture and inserted new pictures.

Thanks for the help. JJ sent details. I'm on a job near Ft Worth but I'm going to order the parts and hope to get finished Easter weekend while I'm home

Great detail! Thanks for all the information. I'm working near Ft Worth but get home a couple of times each month. I'm going to order the parts you suggested and hope the arrive in time to install Easter weekend. Thanks once again for the help

I forgot to mention that this tractor is hydrostatic drive. Does that make any difference?

Let me regress here and say that I don't know how someone did your FEL valve, but looking at the plumbing, the remote has to be inserted before the 3pt.

They may have cut into the line and inserted a FEL valve, and they may have used some ports on the hyd block.

Can you show a picture of your hyd block?

In general, the remote can go anywhere in the series path, as long as the PB from the upstream valve feeds the next valve.

The first valve or hyd block that sees the pump fluid, may have the master relief valve, and on this tractor, it is in the hyd block.

So now, you will have 3 relief valves.

Main relief at hyd block.

FEL relief.

Remote valve relief.

The 3pt would have used the main relief on the hyd block before any attachments.

So what is going to happen now is that the remote relief will see the first relief upstream on the remote valve and pressure from the 3pt will be relieved.

This picture is not mine, it's from someone here on TBN, can't remember who. See if your loader hooks up like this. If so you don't need to cut any hard lines.
