Rear Inverted Snowblowers 2019

Years back I mounted a camera for my rear blower and purchased the larger display.(about 6")
Mounted the camera up high under my roof overhang and it NEVER gets snow on it.
Works below the posted cold limit suggested.
Was an offshore purchase and most reasonable. (like $50-60 range)
LOL, now I never look back!

In fact such a viable option I wonder when tractor manufacturers will offer them as a factory option.
Shucks all cars/trucks offer them these days.

We got a foot of snow and I finally got to try my inverted Meteor. Holy cow that thing blows! Using the rear blade to clear 600 yards of driveway would have taken at least two hours since I have to push the snow way back to make room for subsequent snow storms. With the blower, one pass down and one pass back at a moderately fast speed cleared the entire drive while throwing the snow 30' to the side.

That's great!! I may have to rethink getting an inverted blower. Can you estimate how fast you were traveling or how many minutes it took to blow the 600 yard driveway? I'm trying to figure out howl ong it would take me to blow 1 mile.

You make a good point. In regions that get a lot of snow you cannot just plow the road/drive. It is necessary to push snow far enough back to make room for subsequent snow events. Plowing is faster if you do not need to do that. So, for many, plowing works well. I can get 12 ft of snow a year so pushing snow around is problematic in some places I need to remove snow.

My setup has a FEL mounted blade and a rear pull blower to address different situations.

Once again we see different situations for different people / locations. I too plow my driveway as wide as possible, to allow for future snow but I'm restricted to width because my driveway is cut into the side of a mountain. On the high side is the uphill bank and on the low is the steep drop off. I can't push snow to the sides. It has to be blown when the driveway gets too narrow.

There are areas around the house and outbuildings where I end up moving snow with a snow bucket, some years because the stockpiles of pushed snow get too large. A snow blower doesn't work in those areas because there's no place to blow snow that isn't in front of another building.

Looks like Boondox got a perfect setup for HIS conditions.

Wish I could plow off to the side of the road, got a tad too close to the edge, fell into the ditch. Now, plow when I can, blow when I must. Got to follow the edge markers. Really like to learn from other's mistakes, sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

So exciting to hear that it worked great. Mine was supposed to be hear 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for it.

Was hooking it up and finding the sweet spot in terms of getting the right scrape difficult?

Any chance you had a film crew on hand so you can share footage with me? I'm dying to see it in action on long runs with deep snow.

Can you comment on the issues the critics often raise:

• Won't clear to the bottom because you drive over the snow first
• Not enough traction because you drive over the snow first
• Your neck will become weak because you're not looking back all the time

Those that argue that you leave snow in the tracks can never have seen one in use. Here I live nobody uses such a ridiculously bad design as a snow blower you use in reverse whit out dual command on the tractor.

They have there place, both of them. I was 90% sure I was getting an inverted blower until I thought out all scenarios for my area and my use. I am not always home for every storm, I could be away for a week. If we get a couple 2ft storms during that week with drifts from the wind, an inverted blower would do me no good.

I have a M7040 with a 90" inverted. Often I am in high range third gear blowing which is about 15 kph.

You cannot back up that fast safely hence the benefit of the inverted.

WOW! That's moving! I plow at around the same speed. To move that much snow, going that fast, you need a blower with a big fan and the hp to drive it. What sort of depth are you blowing at that speed?

What blower do you have? I can find out what size the fan and auger are, if you provide the manufacturers name and model. That will give me an idea of what size would be right for my tractor.
