Does any one know where I can get the parts to put Hydraulics on the rear of my TC-35A. I want to be able to tilt the boxscraper and raise the rippers. The dealers around here want 1500.00 to do this. daa1@lanset.com

You can add up to three remote hydraulic valves to your tractor. They are easy to install and you can buy the kits from your dealer and do them yourself. The first kit is about $250 and kit 2 and 3 are about $215 each. You have to remove the right-rear tire, but it's a very easy job. If you search this forum for "remote hydraulics" or just "remotes" you will find a lot of information. PineRidge even posted step-by-step instructions on the install on his website. If you find one of his posts and use his link to his personal website, you will find a wealth of great info and photos.

When you finish installing the remote valves, you can then go to CCI and buy the components for top-n-tilt (TNT). If you have a boxblade with hydraulic actuated scarifiers, all you will have to do is hook it to one of the installed remotes to operate it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thank you for the reply Jinman. After I posted the letter, I found the information from PineRidge. I wasnt sure he had brought the materials from a dealer or got them from a online supplier.

There may be an on-line NH parts distributer but if so I'm not aware of them.

We purchased the 3 rear remotes from a local dealer.

We then went to IE for the top and tilt components. CCI is an advertiser here at the TBN site and I would recommend them for your cylinders.

Save yourself some time and money and make sure that where
ever that you buy the cylinders that they are equipped with double piloted check valves.

Interesting.
I saw a kit on EBay a few months back, I marked it to watch it with the intention of buying it if I could get it for under a few hundred bucks. I decided that I would E-mail my local dealer to kinda back check the pricing and also see if what the seller had was the right part # and all. Dealer replied within 24hrs, saying 1) Yes, that is the correct part # for your TC and 2) the price is $623.95, and we have it in stock. ????
Now then, i missed the end of the auction (which sold for around $175.00) and now am a little less upset that I hear the real price for the kit.
Wonder where my dealer came up with his price? I HAVE heard that the Remotes are around 1K to have installed by the dealer and also add value when trading. Guess I too will look into doing the job myself.

Since you can have up to three remotes, your dealer may have been giving you a quote for all three as a single install. That would account for the price he quoted . . . very close.

Regarding Rear Remotes:

When I asked my dealer about rear remotes he wanted to know if I wanted a quick release or slow release valve. Actually I think his exact words were different. Are there different types of remote valves for different types of operations ?

The TC55 and TC48 have either return to center or float detent type remote valves. If you get the float type, you can only add two. You can add three of the return to center type.

The remotes on these tractors come as a valve kit and a separate piping kit called a "completion kit" by NH. The valves are about $300 each and the piping kits are $200 each. The float type remote valves are about $365, I think.

The float type valves come in handy for something like a log splitter which has its own open center control valve. If you use a regular return to center valve, you have to use a bungee or something similar to hold it open while you use the log splitter. Many folks think the bungee is the best way to go since most other applications need the return to center function.

Now you know as much about this as I do. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for all the help on my subject. Now I dont know if I really need two or three outputs. I was just going to run my rippers and the one side tilt on the boxscraper. But maybe I should think about the log spliter too. I found another dealer that would sell the parts for a two valve at a good price, 513.00. Thanks to PineRidge and his pictures I think I can do the work. Love that toolbox on your site.
