JD 3320
I am looking for a 6-7' rear blade for my JD3320. I would primarily use it to push/move snow and some gravel driveway work. My JD dealer sells Frontier and another dealer sells Landpride. Does anyone have any input regarding these two brands. Both have forward/reverse angles and tilt capability.

Regards,
Mike

i have a landpride RB3572 i use behind my TC. Works great. bought used for a TINY fraction of what a new one would go for in that size.

Is it worth the price they get for a new one? (upwards of one large) perhaps if you plan on geting a lot of use out of it.

The problem youll find is inexpensive units dont have a lot of features and are built cheeply. (thin steel etc) stick to this simple rule.... weight is good....

I have a 5' Frontier. I bought it for mainly snow removal and haven't had to use it yet for that. I did level some dirt and gravel with it. I bought it because it looks like it will really hold up well, or at least I felt it would hold up better than a couple others I looked at.

Not sure if you have them in your area, but you might want to take a look at the Woods RB-60 or RB-72.

The RB-60 is the 5 foot blade and also has 15 degree tilt. The RB-72 is the 6 foot blade that has the tilt plus can be off-set 12 inches left or right. Both come with a parking stand and reversable cutting edge.

Get a heavier unit than you think you'll need. I have a L3010 and went with a Landpride RBT1572 blade, which is a 15 series blade, tilt feature and 72'' wide, 14'' tall. Knowing now what I didn't know then, I wouldn't waste my money on the tilt feature ( never used it), the blade is thin, and at 14'' tall, with anything over 10'' of snow, a LOT of snow rolls over the blade and back onto the driveway. If I could find a buyer, I would sell it in a heartbeat and get their 25 series blade which is taller, heavier and doesn't have the tilt feature.

Mikey,

You may want to price one from these guys: Midwest Equipment

I paid less for the RB2260 with tilt, offset, reversible cutting edge those features shipped freight to Denver than I could get the comparable Landpride from some local dealers. I've only used the tilt feature a couple of times, but figured if I didn't get it, I'd be cursing my decision the few times I really wanted it. It seemed to be a bit heavier duty than the comparable Landpride blade I looked at (at the time, the Landpride didn't have a bent top edge, not sure about now). I do have a Landpride tiller, so I do like some of their stuff.

I've gotten a ton of use out of that rear blade the last month. You may not want to wait to have one shipped though, if we keep getting these weekly snowstorms.

the landpride gauge wheel is a simple bolt on affair... im shure you would have no problem in adapting it to the larger rear blades if they werent specifically designed to take it....
