Rear Axle on 1500D Hub removal

I am trying to get the hubs off of the rear axles on my 1500D, I have a puller on it and am soaking it with penetrating oil, it aint budging. I do not want to use heat on the cast hubs, is there a secret?? I need to replace the bearings and seals. Thanks for any advice you guys may have....

I think most guys do use heat on the hub, also a few well aimed blows with a large hammer on the bolt of the puller helps. "PB Blaster" is generally considered the most efective penetrating oil. I have heard that you can put the wheels back on, leave the hub bolt loose and drive the tractor around, lots of quick starts , stops and turns, and they will sometimes loosen. Last resort is to go in through the rear end and remove the axles.

I think you will have to remove the axles anyway to replace the bearings, but I'm not sure it will be any easier to remove the hubs with the axles off the tractor.
As I remember, when I pulled mine a while back there was grease on the splines. That made it easy to remove. I made sure they were greased when I reassembled it.
You might want to ensure the inner seals and collars are good. That might save you the hassle of taking it apart again.

These can be tough. If a little heat and a puller, some tapping with a hammer, etc doesn't do it, then I would recommend pulling the axle and using a shop press. I had a set of hubs stuck really badly on a 1401 once and I apllied too much force and too much heat and ended up getting them off, but damaging the hubs. I had a spare set, but I really should have pulled the axles and pressed them out.
