This is really common. I had a 2011 polaris ranger on craiglist locally for a 7500.00. I had a person call and said he saw the same ranger same pictures I posted and everything on eBay for 2500.00. He was concerned that I was trying a scam on him because he bought it from me on Craigslist. I went to the site he sent me and it was all my pictures and description. I sent the response to the seller and they responded with a gmail account and said they just really needed the money so they didn't no reserve auction. I contacted eBay and they removed my ad. There are auctions sites with new cars for 3000.00 out there. You know what they say if it sounds to good to be true it usually is.

No reserve auctions often have a steep slope in prices near the end of the auction. So seeing something languishing with low bids for a week, then jumping by 2x or 3x or more in the last few hours (or seconds) is not unexpected.
A while ago I was looking for Toro lawnmowers on E-Bay. I saw photos that looked real familiar, so I tracked down the original ad and sent the original seller a note. Sure enough someone was trying to run a scam.
And, if you are a legit seller that bought something then are trying to resell it, take your own photos.
Some sellers list "Free Shipping, Local Pickup Only".
