Do you have a Disc Harrow to follow that plow?

Yes - like peterc38, I think the ground will be ready some time - late May to early June.

What brand is that plow and where did you get it. Also if you don't mind, how much was it?

Been looking on craigslist for one.

Thanks,

Yeah. Used One bottom plows in good shape are hard to find. I decied to fork up and get a new one.Its a King Kutter. They are out of Alabama. They have been making small farm equipment for years. Good solid equipment and all parts are available. Most farm stores carry King Kutter equipment. I got this at Rural King. It was reduced to $390.00. 75.00 off listed price. High I know but it will last me. I don't like junk. You can also get this plow in a 2 bottom. Coulters and gage wheels are also available. Check out there website.

Please let us know how that turned out. I was originally looking at an LS J model tractor but then bumped up to a XR3032H because the J series didn't have ag tires. That's a good looking setup. I have a Leinbach 1912 single bottom plow that I use a lot behind my Farmall Cub that's been converted to 3 pt hitch.

It works well, but you know how it is when it's time to move into this century of tractors. ;)

That looks good! I'm glad to see I'm not the only 2023 owner on the board!

It sure would be nice to see pictures when you are using it. Nothing beats plowing with a single bottom plow. As mentioned, you rarely see a used one for sale and when you do they sell for too much money. Better to buy the new one and call it good.

I agree. I've got a nice 2 bottom Ferguson I pull behind the 8n but its just too much for this unit.

That 2 bottom Feguson would take a couple acres to scour --and pull easier--while the new one will scour quickly. It will be even more fun then, especially when you keep your speed up..
