Well, we bought some land in the fall. It's about 7 acres, two springs feed a pond that has had it's dam broken. I may have to hire out the dam rebuild, but would like to do some of the dredging and earth moving myself to cut down on that cost. I have tons of brush to clear and move. In late fall I used a hand-held gas trimmer with a brush blade to clear all the tall thistles and grass. I have been cutting trees from the future garden site (1-2 acres of veggie garden) and fruit orchard. Arthritis makes it clear I need a tractor. I need to keep my cost around 12k. I will need a front end loader, tiller, brush cutter, and maybe a snow blower. I have been watching the market and almost bought a JD4310 yesterday with everything I need for $11,900 but the guy sold it to his neighbor at the last minute. So the search starts anew. Any suggestions?
