On the Fecon similar to the HDT style teeth I replace the bolts. The reason being is that when I tighten them the bolts stretch and will not stay tight the second time around.

On any machine I always replace the nuts and normally the bolts also. I would rather pay a little for bolts and nuts than to have repair something that broke or came loose while using it.

I reuse them for my Fecons with paddle style drums. When the threads on the bolts and the nuts get beat up then I replace them. I have never had a problem with loosening or breaking in 10 years.
