I simply spray our impeller box with a aerosol grease of sorts in the spring.

I致e tried sprays - Pam, the Dupont stuff, fluid film, etc. no real benefit as the spray gets removed from the abrasive action of the snow.

The only thing I do now is just clean it up in the summer and put a fresh coat if black Rustoleum enamel paint spray on the surfaces.

I totally agree with this approach.

Snow really sticks to rough, rusty surfaces but much less on a slick painted one.
I usually painted my chute with any old color just to prevent rusting over the warmer humid summer months and it helped greatly.

BUT I improved that by heat moulding a HD PVC 'liner' inside of my chute and I now very rarely clog and another benefit is that I shear fewer shear bolts. (only 2 this season)

My only clogs were last 2 days but then we were in melting condition and I was attempting to blow back compacted accumulations to make more space for the next event. (and I hope the last)

I used a rear 3-point blower frequently for the 30+ years I had it. I tried everything short of HDPE. What worked best in my situation. A fresh coat of Rustoleum paint in the summer and stay away from trying to blow slushy snow in the winter.

Slushy snow will freeze EVERYWHERE the moment you stop the tractor & blower. There was nothing, I could find, that would alleviate this condition. I quit trying and only used the blower with fresh fallen or hard crusty frozen snow.

I added the liner for the additional reason to take up space.... lower the gap between the impeller and the walls. Others have used the rubber extensions on the impeller. This liner helped, I had about 1/2” gap. I thought about 1/4” HDPE , but wasn’t sure I was flexible enough, although it softens with heat .

In southeast Michigan, I haven’t had a real snow challenge in years. I used a spray after the big slush we had, and it works great on the auger and back walls. I’ll get the name in the morning.

I used DuPont silicone lubricant on my auger and frame. Nothing stuck to the sprayed Metal.

RainX works too.

Im thinking chute design plays a big factor in snow jamb ups. My old Agro-Trend blower had a squared off chute and jamb ups was always an issue. I tried all the sprays and RainX was my go to. My new to me blower is a Lucknow with a round chute. Not one jamb up in 5 years. I dont use any kind of sprays.

Keeping your equipment in a heated barn/garage helps too.
