Any tile experts on here?

Some of the grout in my tile shower started to fall out, so I'm re-grouting. I've used a grout saw (and various other implements!) to remove all of the loose grout. What's left now is very hard and almost impossible to get out. The tiles are VERY close together, in some cases barely 1/16", so I can't get a rotary carbide cutter in there.

The question is, how much of the old grout has to be removed before I can re-grout? I'm down to the flat sides of the tiles everywhere, but just barely on some of them. This be enough?

I've cleaned the remaining grout with a stiff stainless steel brush, then vacuumed the grooves and cleaned them well with alchohol. Hopefully this will help to give me a good bond between the old and new grout. Any other tips before I re-grout?

Thanks!

If the remaining bit of grout are stuck good, you should have no problem.
