Guys,

I am ready to make the plunge to purchase a SCUT for my new property. I have been lurking on the board for some time and I have narrowed down my choices to 2 machines. The BX25 and the GC2410. I was leaning toward the BX25 but the 0/60 rate is tempting on the 2410. Kubota only offers 0/30 and when it comes down to it, this may push me to go red.

I am getting some prices now on the units and I was wondering if any of you can share prices that you have received for these units. I am looking for CDN pricing but if any of you in the US what to make me cringe, feel free to list your pricing as well.

I need some comparative numbers to effectively negotiate a good deal.

Both are fine machines. I would have considered the GC myself if a dealer had been anywhere close to me. Kubota had a much better dealer network in my area so I went that way. I purchased a BX 24 in June / July. My setup was $16K plus tax including a 60"MMM ($1580 of that price). The BX 25's went up and I believe you could expect to pay about $17.5K for a similar setup or $16K base without MMM and including 3 pt hitch. Some of the lucky new owners can confirm this for you though. This should give you an idea of price expectations.

The 60 mths no interest is very hard to pass up for sure. With a local dealer and similar pricing I would have a hard time passing that up.

I have been very happy with my machine and so far it does all that I have asked it to do. No mechanical problems and very easy to learn to operate.

Hi,

Too bad you are a hike away as the Woodstock farm show is on this week and you could see all the brands represented.

Otherwise, still old stock 2310's kicking around and Marsh's ( Freelton ) starts out asking
$20K ( no mower ) but have seen them going for $18K

This guy Twin Acres Equipment has a BX24, less than 3hrs for $16k but also a
B7800 loader\backhoe for $25k. Both are ask prices so probably do better.

Folks,

Just reeived a quotation for a cg2410 in the amount of $17995. I believe there is still some bargaining room there. Is this a fair price for this machine?

Just couldn't pass up the 60 mos, 0%. This pushed me over the edge on this one. That and the delaer is 4 miles from my house!!

BX25's start out at about $20k +tax, pdi and freight.

I ended up getting my BX25 for around $18,200 without the MMM. I was leaning toward the GC2410 but no one had one and they wanted almost $2000 more of the MF. I think the MF Dealers are getting it all wrong. I would have bought a MF if they were priced the same. In the end, I am very happy I went organge.

We sell the BX25 for $16,900 plus $200 for the three point hitch.

I ran into the same thing with the Simplicity Legacy XL.
HAD it been a couple of thousand less than the $15500 for my BX23 I would have considered it but at $21000 I lost interest in the Simplicity real quick.

Really? My friend who has a BX2350 actually is the one who got me looking at the Massey Ferguson sub compacts. I was very close to buying the BX24 when he talked me into looking at the MF. I went with the the GC2410 which should be delivered to my house this Friday. The final selling points were: financing (0% for 72 months), a great dealer experience (also closer than the Kub dealer), seperate forward, reverse, and brake pedals (personally, this was just more intuitive for me), and the overall operation of the backhoe (it just felt smoother - but it could have been my imagination). I know I would have been extremely happy with either one, but those were the final points that swayed me to the red side.
