I purchased a new L3800 with no front end loader. I want to add one set rear hydralic remotes. The dealer wants $700.00 for kubota parts. Is their a more economical way? Thanks Alan

That's not a bad price, does that cover *all* the parts. They add up fast for all the bits and pieces that J_J is not showing. The factory set is also very nice looking and integrated with the tractor.

Other than what I posted, you will need fittings for the hyd block connection, and to the remote valve, and 4 QD's on the remote work ports, and two or three hoses.

If you have the hyd block, there should be two or three ports for a remote valve connection.

Switched position.

Flow should be , pump to hyd block, pressure out port on block to IN port of remote, PB OUT on remote back to hyd block, OUT/tank hose from remote to hyd block if there is a port for the tank hose, and then to the 3pt.

There should be a switch for the hyd block to switch the flow path.

Does your hyd block look something like this?

HYD BLOCK

The hyd block is used to route the fluid either direct to the 3pt or route the fluid to the ports on the hyd block for the remote valve. The switch is used to switch from 3pt only to the remote valve and 3pt.

On my B9200, I use the hyd block for a log splitter . If the splitter is not plugged in, I join the two hoses and keep the switch in the remote position on the hyd block.. The fluid is now looped through the rear hoses and back to the hyd block.

He has an L3800.... In his manual for an L3800 on page 36 (or there about), it will show the same thing in the photo below but with a solid plate. Solid plate that bolts on vs. mine with the high pressure outlet and the return inlets, both high and low pressure... I think kubota is the only one that sells that part.

J_J posted 2 different valve spools both with two sets. Did you really only need one since an extra one is not that much more at this point. ;) One of the valves he posted comes with the plug and the power beyond built in and the other one he posted would need the other two parts he posted.

Hi Agroth,

Congrats, for your new toy. May I ask you how much was the damage and the package which you choose? I'm looking for the same toy in the spring.

Thanks

Since we are changing the subject some what :p I would price an L2800 Gear or HST *with* a FEL before a L3400 without a loader. The loader "makes" the tractor whole... Also, I would also never get the 2wd version of it.

For the length of time I planned to own it... it will pay for itself. If you have another tractor with a FEL, that's another story...
