Ratcheting Sound

Couldn't agree more about folks keeping their distance - scary attachment  . I wasn't talking about the sweet spot on the clutch though. My clutch requires you to have an iron leg and a lead foot to disengage the PTO as you have to press it all the way down to stop it. What I was referring to was finding the neutral position on the PTO lever - not easy. I even replaced the internal PTO fork and still struggle finding the neutral position. Maybe I find it but I'm too impatient, expecting the implement to slow down / stop quickly - doesn't happen often. Even playing with the lever with nothing attached, it's hard to find that sweet spot on the lever to stop and keep the spline from turning.

Oh, I see. I noticed how fine it had to be right a way while playing with the controls and nothing attached to the PTO. I set the screw stop so the lever stops at the dead neutral position, since I'll probably never use the 2000 rpm setting anyway. Seems to work ok. Though it does spin very very slowly without a load (but not with one).
