I have a Kubota BX2370 and was thinking about the Ratchet Rake Snow edge for this coming winter. Is anyone using this attachment? How well does it work if you do. Thanks.

I guess no one has tried one of these yet?
There are videos on the Ratchet rake site, I'm sure you've seen...perhaps you should bite the bullet and let us know if they work good?
I have also thought about buying one but have spent the $$ elsewhere so far.

Hi johndam. I just bought a tractor with a Ratchet Rake Snow Edge but have not yet used it. We probably won't get plowable snow until January here in KY so I can't help you until then.

I have seen the videos on their site. Seems like a good idea. I was hoping to save my finished driveway from deep scratches and the like. I guess I will have to bit the bullet and give it a try.

I didn't know they were making such a thing. Says the edge last 32 hours. That's not long! And then it's $50 to $60 to replace the edge.

Have you considered buying a rear blade and installing some type of plastic blade strip or scrapper? I use a Moose snow plow on my ATV to plow my concrete drive. It has an optional UHMW edge that won't scratch the driveway. Plus because the blade is light it doesn't push hard on the drive way surface like a loader does.

I have a ratchet rake which is pretty slick but I can't say I'm a fan of the RR snow plow design. Just my 2 cents. :2cents:

I have been researching it for a while, found some reviews on other forums and maybe one or two here, everyone who has it loves it.

I have a JD 2320 tractor with 60"FEL and I think I am going to order it for this year (made some scratches on my blacktop driveway last year).

I have been plowing with different tractor loaders for a few years now, tried the plastic (both PVC and ABS) and it really was a pain (seemed to pop off easily and didn't work as well for me as it does for others)

I want to thank you all for your input. I think that I will order one and see how it works out I will give an update on the performance after this winter.

Update: I have used the snow edge from Ratchet Rake for the past three snowstorms in the Northeast. I have to say that I was surprised by the performance. The snow edge doesn't leave any scratches on my finished driveway which is exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this highly.
