Sure it'll work. I have a college room type mini-fridge in my shop. No problems and plenty of cold drinks all the time. Cheap but effective.

My mini-fridge in the uninsulated pool shed had exploded cans in it after a good freeze a few years ago.
The hot days did not bother it.
I think the outside temp was in the teens for a week before this happened.
So inside temp was probably pretty close to outside temp.

Looking for a new fridge, and all of them seem to have negative reviews, particularly about the vegetable bins being flimsy. Are there ANY that are good? I have a 13 year-old S x S Kitchenaid, and maybe I should just hang on to it. It has been giving me a bit of grief lately about frosting up the inner coils. Had to remove the back inner panel and defrost the coils with a blow dryer - twice now.

We have been happy with our Electrolux. But they aren’t big box store brands and not cheap.

We replaced the defrost heat element on our 30yr old hotpoint after finding it wasn't defrosting. They aren't real complicated once it's figured out. Thermostat, timer, heat coil, switches.

I live in a small house and have a 27" apartment size over and under washer/dryer and it'd dying a slow, noisy death, bearing in the tub I think. It's almost 20 years old and I'm hesitant to put parts into it although I may yet once I dive into it.
All I want is the ability to wash and dry with a mechanical timer....nope, not made. It seems there's only two brands, Frigidare at Costco for CAN$1500, and Different styles at Home Depot for anywhere from CAN$ 1600 to 1800. That to me is a ridiculous price for what it is.

I keep my home warranty up to date each year. Covers appliances as well as plumbing, water heater, well pump.
