Ranger500 or mule 4010????

Hey folks. I am in the hunt for a utv. I narrowed down these two. I need you guys who had one of these make and pro and cons of it.
My main use is year round yard work. Snow plowing. Go hunting in private land.

I would prefer the 4010 mule unless you are in a hurry. Pros the mule has a larger steel box, more powerful engine, u joint axles versus CV joints with rubber boots, rear axle will unlock so it doesn't tear up the lawn etc if turning on turf, twin cylinder engine. Cons speed limited to 40km/ 25 mile per hour, 4wd drive is not a true 4x4 as front diff is open, lower ground clearance than the ranger

I have had a Kawasaki since 1998,don't think there are many Polaris owners that can say that.And yes it is used all the time.

Based upon what your requirements are, I'd agree completely with the two previous replies. Mules just keep on going. So many Polaris in the shop at my dealer.

Yes the Mule is a work truck, not fast or fancy. At least the 2 that I have had have been, but they are also 12 years old or more. I've hauled many loads of gravel, piled on with my SS until it spilled off to a spot nothing else I had would fit. The suspension travel is very limited but good old tough leaf springs.

Yard work? Snow plowing? I think the Mule is your choice. My brother bought one in 2002, and hasn't had any problems. He has hauled countless loads of firewood, all of which I am sure were much heavier than recommended, took us in and out of the woods for 15 deer seasons, and has helped with all of the chores required on a 80 acre property.
I have a RTV 900. It is a nicer machine than the Kawasaki, I just hope it proves as reliable as his Mule.
