Rake is 2 years old but has done this since I bought it. 1 single hydraulic unit that controls both sides of the rake. When I let the rake come done towards the ground it seems the right set of rakes (as you face forward) will hit the ground while the left side set will still be about 1-2 feet off the ground. But here is the problem, with both sets on the ground I try to lift the rake finger off the ground slightly. If not they will be digging into the dirt and putting the hay and dirt/junk into windrows. If I try to bring the right side up slightly the left is still in the dirt. If I try to bring the left side up enough to barley cover the ground-no dirt or junk the right side is way to far off the ground and misses the hay. Frustrated, Thanks

Add another cylinder.

Or don't try to carry the rake off the ground on one side with just one cylinder. You don't have that kind of control, sounds like to me.

Sounds like its out of adjustment ... most v-rakes have an adjustment on each side to counter act this.... just a thought

The nature of the wheel rake design is to run firmly on the ground and, by design, they will pick up everything in the field. Ken Sweet
