3-Point Hitch Raising my back blade

Lately I have noticed that the 3 point hitch on my 4110 doesn't start to raise the back blade until I move the lever about half way up. I still goes up all the way, but I don't seem to have any adjustment in the lower half of the raise/lower lever. Any ideas? Oh yes, I have checked the fluid level (Hydro) and everything else works fine.

Do you have a rate of drop adjustment knob? I find that if mine on my 2720 is not adjusted properly it won't rise at all. Of course I dont know anything about the set up on a 4110. Maybe you don't have this feature.

If you would post a pic from the side showing the blade attached, I think we could point out to you what the problem (not really a problem) is you are experiencing.

I do have a drop adjustment knob. In fact, I recently adjusted it to drop faster--I will check it out. Might be it. Thanks.

Your blade could actually contact the ground with the 3ph lever halfway down. this would make it appear as if the lever isn't doing anything on the way back up until the lever position meets the point of ground contact
Try taking the blade off, or backing the blade over a ditch. I think you'll see that you still have adjustment in the lower half of your lever position, but the blade is in "float" when the lever is at full drop, as the 3ph has no positive down force other than the weight of the implement.

I think you are right on with a very good explanation.
I was trying to think of the words to describe it, but thought if the OP would post a pic then this would be easier to point out.

I agree with MAJYk, too. This behavior is identical on my tractor. It's clearer if you think about a plow, rather than a back blade. It hits the ground halfway through the TPH lever travel, and the bottom half of that lever range is "under" ground.
