I supplement my chickens with a layer food that I am sure has extra calcium in it. I also give them oyster shell for their craw and I have noticed the egg shells are quite hard. If you don't have natural gravel for them to pick up they will need a supplement. They also love tomatoes and grapes /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.
