Radio for my New Holland TN65

Obviously the top of the canopy being the highest point on the tractor and thus logically the best place for an antenna. But try hanging the cell ant. upside down from your ROP's or under the canopy on the metal frame. as long as it has a strong magnet you shout be fine.Maybe a tyrap or 2 on the cable to keep it from getting cought in the tractor wheels or pto if it does get nocked off... All that matters to the phone is that the tip of the antenna is pointed as straight up or down as possible for the best reception. Also I have seen a few cell antennas with springs in them like CB antennas. Wislon sells one for truckers for about $50 plus $10 for the adapter and then the magnet is also seperate... IF you want to get fancy.... Wether this way or the RTV Soundguy metnioned lets know what you do I'm sure many have tried such...

I just received my radio from NH that I bought for $59.95 It looks like it will do the job but when I went to plug it in, the two multi wire plugs that come out of the opening in my cab dont't fit the bunch of wires that are on the back of the radio. How do they connect ? It looks like I'm supposed to have two mating plugs that will fit the ones from the tractor. Can anyone explain how to hook this up? Where do I get the matching connectors?

Any radios I have installed in NH equipment came through the New Holland parts system. The Audiovox and Nexgen radios I have installed have come with a choice of adapter harnesses to install the unit in NH equipment without fuss or splicing.

You most likely will need the following adaptor kit 9673630ds
this should adapt your plugs to the radio with no problem.

Probably too late but I just installed a radio in my TN75. It was a cheapie cd player/ radio. I found the adapter plug at the local auto stereo shop for a couple of bucks. That plug in the overhead mates to the Mercedes one that most shops will have.

Go to Sound Track Music/TRACTOR RADIOS/HEAVY EQUIPMENT RADIOS
click on INVENTORY
click on the large radio
click on FORD NEW HOLLAND
scroll down to TD-TL-TN-TM & TSA Series
FT-7100S-WB-T-35

It is a heavy duty radio with the factory plug on it. Just plug it in.
I work at Sound Track. I just happened to see your post. You can call us at 573-334-7894. We are wholesale, but we can help you find a dealer near you.

I just got a TN65 with cab and it appears everything is set up for a radio in the cab (speakers and antenna) but the box for the radio is empty! What radio will fit in the opening and where can I get one? I heard that only an audiovox will fit the factory connections, but nobody in this area sells audiovox. The dealer said I can get a radio much cheaper than buying it from him. Where? Anybody have a similar experience or know where to get a radio that fits at a decent price? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
