Radiators

Ive been fighting leaks in my 1401D for some time now.Today i found several holes and im affraid its beyond repair. Does anyone know where i can get a new radiator or a good used one that has been tested for leaks.

Have you taken it out and let a radiator shop look at it? They may be able to recore for a whole lot less.

I thought about that , But last time i went in a Radiator shop and had work done i could have bought a new one for about the same price. I also considered a Alum. one from Jegs or Summit. Down here in Tx when its 100+ she gets a little warm mowing.I also thought about a electric fan.

Have you tried Hoyetractor?

They had several Yanmar radiators on Ebay recently.

A new 1401D radiator runs about $280. I'm pretty close anyway, within $5. What's a full re-core cost? This may help with pricing a new + shipping, vs. a full recore. Hope this helps a little.

Your right, just checked Hoye's online parts and the 1401 radiator is $285.99 (missed it by a dollar).

OUCH ,,,I guess Yanmar thinks there John Deere ..LOL . I looked at ebay and there 250 on there also . I found some 3row Alum radiators for import cars for around 100.00 look like they would adapt fairly easy .

take it a good radiator shop - they'll pull the top and bottom off and replace the "core". You need the top and bottom because they are usually have mounting hardware on them. Got mine done last spring cause it had lots of pin holes - basically rotten....cost me about $200.
