R1 vs. R4 in the mud

   / R1 vs. R4 in the mud #21
Weighted R-1's will chew up lawn more than weighted
R-4's especially in wet grass and in 4WD. In NE mud
R-4's fill up pretty quick and do not self clean. The R-1's go through mud pretty well and are more self cleaning than R-4's when "gooing" forward; R-1's do not go as well in reverse in deep mud :(. I discovered this reality through personal experience . Many of the tractor owners around my area reverse their front R-1's to help going in reverse. There is no perfect tractor tire. Jay
