The connection is with manually locking pins.
You may see the acronym SSQA in reference to these. (Skid-steer quick attach). There are several shapes/designs depending on the use. Am I interpreting your question properly?

I know john deer and some other have a different style setup. Im just trying to figure out if it like a john deer type style or a bobcat which is more unaversial

Ah. Yes ok. It's the skid steer or "Bobcat" style.
I have a 72" skid steer bucket and a snow blade. Really easy to connect and a big selection of attachments using that type of connection.

Yes, I think the skid-steer type interface is the best way to go for all FELs. The Kubotas were using that as "standard" for the last several years and both Deere and MF have lagged behind. I use it on my MF2660 with a DL250 loader. However, a couple of other comments apply. 1) The cross member tube (in your photo down at the lower left) is vulnerable to bending and twisting apart. If you hook under the lip on one side of a heavy attachment and miss the lip on the other side you may pick it up before you realize it is hooked on only one side. This twisted the H out of my skid steer adapter cross tube on the DL250 loader. I cannot see the attachment point from the seat of my 2660 without standing up and careening over the edge of the tractor. 2) Unfortunately these MF skid steer attachment rigs are still treated as an option and NOT engineered as strong as I think they should be. Just take a look at Kubota and compare. 3) Thank goodness for standardization and the advent of skid steer interfaces for the farm tractors ! This opens up the massive world of skid steer attachments in the hundreds as opposed to the handful that are brand-specific.

Same topic, however I've got an old MF 35 Utility with a Massey/Davis 99 loader. In the future, I'd like to put a quick attach setup on like the Skid Steers, as they're the most universal. My dilemma is that the Massy/Davis 99 loader only has a single dump piston. Is there a quick attach plate that does NOT have a fully open center so that I can mount my dump piston flange? Or will I likely have to fabricate all that myself. (which isn't a huge problem, but I'd rather just buy one ready to rock...)

I'm guessing you'll have to build the bracket that fastens to your FEL arms. Build it to fit SSQA equipment and you're in. :)

I have not looked at what is available but ovrszd is probably right. You MIGHT luck out and find an adapter that would mate with your loader on one side and have skid-steer plates on the other side. If you could find that, you would then need to weld a bracket on the back side of the adapter plate to mate with your center cylinder. There are several companies in the 3rd party adapter plate business. Spartan looks like a good prospect at John Deere, New Holland, Case, Kubota, Tractor Adapters (but as you've heard about many things -- they ain't cheap.) Another choice may be Compact / Front End Loader Converter Attachment - Quick Attach Attach-All by Quick Attach Attachments LLC for Quick Attach brand.

p.s.: The Spartan unit says it is a "universal" adapter.

My tach-n-go quick attach forvthe gc1700 series is my favorite. It attaches/detaches easily and has no false "connects". And in the scut world where implemenrs benefit from the concept of "strong but lightweight" . . I like how much lighter my implements can be (fork set 110 lbs . . Mini grapple 77 lbs).
