Could not get it to go over the end of the arm at all. I wrote to Pat's but, they did not respond so I returned it. I wish that it would have worked but, alas. If you do want to try it, Agri-Supply had the best price which included the spacer bar.

My 4000 has a cat 1 hitch. I tried both the cat 1 & 2. What model Ford do you have? Let me know how it works out for you. Good luck.
